1969 Lennon documentary revisited
“24Hours: The World of John & Yoko” – a 1969 30 minute documentary for BBC Television is available as part of the Coda Collection, which is featured through Amazon Prime.
The Coda Collection was at first only available for Amazon Prime subscribers in the U.S.A., but has been extended to Canada and U.K. However, the U.S. content is not necessarily available in the other countries, and one reader has informed us that it is not available in Canada. It should be available in the U.K., though.
Directed by Paul Morrison for BBCTV in December 1969, the documentary was filmed over a five-day period, showing a day in the life of John Lennon and Yoko Ono while The Beatles were still together. Controversies raged and activism became a central concern in the couple’s everyday reality.
The World of John and Yoko was filmed at the same time as a programme by another UK broadcaster, ATV, titled “Man Of The Decade”. Lennon was nominated for the title, and interviewed for his segment of that program, by anthropologist Desmond Morris. Unusually, the filming of that feature appears in the BBC documentary. The “Man Of The Decade” program was broadcast in the UK two weeks after “The World of John and Yoko”, on December 30.
This is a re-promotion of the documentary on the 42. anniversary of this dreadful day.

Yes, seems like you have to jump thru a lot of hoops to see this, and then have to try to UN-subscribe or UN-register or whatever, to avoid being charged big money.. or bombarded with spam. This is too much a gimmick for my tastes. Maybe someone will put it up on YouTube for us proles.
We found it on another video site, YouTube is very monitored by the copyright holders, but there are hundreds of other video sites where users can upload stuff they want to share.
