I don’t find any thing wrong with the poster. And Love The Rutles one also. Though John McNasty should be kicking someone off of there.

    • I was the guy who designed the Rutles poster, and yes, I was trying to find a way to have him kick someone off the ledge! But, it didn’t work, so I inserted Ron Decline in the background instead.

With luck, it’s not the final poster, but I love the Rutles parody.

Why does the Rutles one have that watermark?

It looks like one of Terry Gilliam’s animations for Monty Python’s Flying Circus. I half expect to see a giant foot or Spiny Norman shout ‘Dinsdale!’

Trying to use the terrible Twickenham lighting as the backdrop…..doesn’t quite work but might have worked in 1970. The Beatles almost look cartoonish from a botched water color attempt. C’mon, lets work the upbeat flavor of the film a little better. Candid shots of the smiling joking Beatles might reflect the movie better. No worries-the rooftop concert (in its entirety, right???) will be a known commodity when the movie is released.

If they’re going to use a rooftop picture, then where’s Billy?
Ethan Russell took scores of photos in January 69. And I dare say Linda took a good few as well. Or how about getting Klaus in like he did the Anthology artwork? Or even John Kosh?

There must be better than that to herald the release of Sir Peter’s film?
