The new issue of British magazine “Radio Times” celebrates the 80th anniversary of John Lennon’s birth, marked by a Radio 2 documentary in which Sean Lennon interviews Paul McCartney, Elton John and his brother Julian about their memories of John (see our previous blog post about this).
BBC4 are devoting next Friday (9 Oct) night to Lennon, showing “A Hard Days Night” (in HD!), a “Top of Pops” Lennon special and “The New York Years” documentary. There are other documentaries on Channel 4 and Sky Arts, but they are all repeats. The only new programme is Sean Lennon’s Radio 2 two-parter.
In the magazine, David Hepworth examines Lennon’s legacy at 80, with classic photography from Bob Gruen, Linda McCartney and Yoko Ono.
