It is available for pre-order in Amazon, but there are two different options and prices depending on the publisher, Allen Lane or Liveright Publishing Corporation. Does anybody know if there will be any difference in the quality of each edition?

Not available in Canada. Even Paul’s site lacks a link to any bookseller. I asked the branch of my local bookseller and they said it has to be imported from another country instead.

I fail to see how they were ‘rediscovered ‘. I’m sure everything in the McCartney archive is fully catalogued and known about. It’s just a case of not publishing items until there is a commercial use for them otherwise you loose the interest

you act as if paul is releasing it out of sheer spite. you don´t need to buy it, you still have the choice.

Not at all, I look forward to it. I just get tired of the use of recently discovered. This happens so often with well known artists

The best is to wait until the price drop, as the price of Paul’s “The Lyrics” suddenly was cut by 50% after the softcover edition was announced.

Look you must realize this. Paul’s machine is efficient and they do a magnificent job in what they are paid to do. Promote Paul. I marvel at their finesse, their imaginative consistency in promoting all things that are PM. Would Rich prefer it if the book was promoted something like this. “At today’s office meeting at the PM HQ, someone suggested Paul dig out a bunch of his old faded snapshots and put them in a new book. “We’re coming up for the 60th anniversary of the Beatles conquering America–and it would be absolutely perfect timing.” Or would he prefer something along the lines of, “while cleaning out his old garage Paul stumbled across a treasure trove of photos he’d taken and dumped in an old shopping bag…..Well you get the picture:It’s called —duh–marketing!!!!!! –ivor davis, ventura california…
