Ringo at the Greek comes alive

RINGO STARR AND HIS ALL-STARR BAND
Live At The Greek Theater 2019

U.S.A. based net shop Amazon has announced a commercial release of three products, all with the concert from September 1, 2019 in The Greek Theater, Los Angeles from Ringo. November 25, 2022 is the release date of “Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band: Live at the Greek Theater 2019” on 2CD and DVD as well as a combo 2CD/Blu-ray. As we have informed about previously, the concert will also be a very limited edition 2LP at Record Store Day’s Black Friday event. Over in the U.K. the British edition of Amazon lists the following: a 2CD, a DVD and a Blu-ray, and not as the stateside 3disc combo 2CD/Blu-ray.

Older fans might remember an earlier Greek Theater concert recording and video, released as “Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band Live at the Greek Theatre 2008” on CD and DVD, and the observant reader may already have caught the spelling change in the word “theater” – British spelling in the earlier release, American in the new one.

The 2019 concert film has already been out in U.S.A. as part of “The Coda Collection”, which is part of the Amazon Prime streaming services. From August 2022, this feature is also available for U.K. Amazon Prime subscribers.

Ringo & his All-Starr Band was at the time of this concert Greg Rolie (Santana), Steve Lukather (Toto), Hamish Stuart (Average White Band), Colin Hay (Men at Work) and of course Ringo himself. Joe Walsh, Nils Lofgren and Edgar Winter were among the special guests on stage.

Finally a full Ringo & TASB release on cd. A blu-ray added as a part of the combo pack (a first for his concerts). Looking forwarding to this release as I saw this particular lineup at the start of this leg (30th Anniversary celebration) in Windsor on August 1st 2019.
