Very nice, Roger! Thanks for sharing this. I see a photoshop in this picture's future.

The Joe Loss Orchestra shared the bill of the Royal Command Performance at the London Palladium with The Beatles, 4 November 1963.

you say that the beatles's performance didn't survive. so, i wonder. where thay found (the apple guys) the anthology show in high sound quality (i'll get you). I always thought they have much rare footage of the first era in video and audio, unknown to this day, things that not even dream of living.

They performed "I'll Get You", "Twist and Shout", "From Me to You", and "She Loves You." The performance is thought to be no longer in existence on film, but a seperate audio recording made of the show does exist. This audio recording is not sourced from the film of the show, but is a separate recording. Some news reports from the day exists, including their getaway from the venue, but no performance footage.
