Hope this isn't due to any health problems – we love you Pete

Is he spending the year dead for tax reasons?

How can he take a year off from a band that split up almost 50 years ago and that kicked him out almost 60 years ago?

  7. Titenhurst says:

Pete was dismissed from the Beatles in August 1962, 58 years and 5 months ago
He performs and makes appearances regularly as a drummer in his own right

  8. Tony says:

Arrownet's comment was in response to the somewhat bizarre quote in the original press release: "Pete is taking the year off from rock'n'roll and the Beatles."

  9. Unknown says:

Like anyone really cares. The world is really going to miss his music. What joke.

  10. Eduardo Ferreira Coelho de Souza says:

    Very bad drummer…..

  11. Titenhurst says:

Pete and his family played a key role in the founding of the Beatles. If you follow Pete's performances and cared to look at his gigs online he certainly isn't 'Very Bad Drummer'.

My go to joke with Pete has always been "I like Pete. He used to hang around the Beatles".

But it is just a joke. I respect Pete and his place in Beatle history.

Ringo got a second shot with George Martin. Pete didn't.

    Debjorgo, "we'll phone you."

  15. Dino Carlucci says:

Ringo took drumming lessons from session drummers as his drumming was less than mediocre he was at busking level when he joined the Beatles. Luckiest man in pop history.
