Although I've not seen the previous programmes in the 'Nation's favourite' series, I'm certain that this will be 'worth missing' for all but the masochistic.
On the positive side, it will be watched by One Direction fans and may avert planetary annihilation by inspiring them to buy Beatles records thereby doing nothing to avert planetary annihilation.

    Erm…or something

I hope its done with taste and class but ITV rarely does either..I imagine a bunch of Z list ITV saturday night celebrities talking heads about the beatles and saying things like "my gran was well in to 'em".

  4. Martin says:

Too right, Terry. ITV are not known for their good taste and quality programmes any more. And that musical antichrist, Simon Cowell, and his X-Factor acolytes will probably rear their ugly heads… Also, it shouldn't just be limited to the No.1s. I suppose they don't want 'Strawberry Fields Forever' I Am The Walrus' or 'A Day In The Life' to win….

Hope it isn't as bad as the celeb infested ITV screening of'Free As A Bird' in 95 (Oasis, Kate Moss etc). And if Ant & Dec are on it, I shall do an Elvis and shoot the telly….

i will record it and have my finger over the fast forward button…

Glad I read *ALL THE WAY TO THE END OF PAGE 2* on what looked like a non-descript piece.
