Beryl Williams
We have been informed that the widow of the Beatles’ first manager Allan Williams, Beryl Williams has passed away at the age of 93. Her husband died in 2017. Together with her husband, Beryl opened Liverpool’s first beatnik coffee shop The Jacaranda, where The Beatles used to hang out.
When her husband got the Beatles a residency booking in Hamburg, she and her brother Barry Chang joined the trip there.
She is in the famous photo from the memorial outside Arnhem in the Netherlands, her brother took the photo at this stop on the way to Hamburg.
Rest in peace Beryl, right at the heart of the rise of the Beatles!
When is her funeral please
A lovely person. Great fun and great company. RIP Beryl. xxx
Aunty Beryl to me and always will be. Our mum shared special early memories x
She was one in a million and changed the lives of everyone she came into contact with. A once in a lifetime friend 🙏
