Quino, creator of Mafalda dies

Manolito: How can you like it if you don’t understand what they are saying? Mafalda: Half the world likes dogs; and to this day no one knows what woof means.
Joaquín Salvador Lavado Tejón, born 17 July 1932 is better known by his pen name Quino. We are saddened to hear that he passed away from a stroke 30 September 2020. Quino was an Argentine cartoonist, whose comic strip Mafalda, which ran from 1964 to 1973, is popular in many parts of the Americas and Europe and has been praised for its use of social satire as a commentary on real-life issues. But an always returning subject of the comic strip was Mafalda’s love for The Beatles. Rest in peace, Quino.
Thank you very much for the tribute. As an Argentine, a fan of The Beatles and a fan of Mafalda, for me it was a huge loss. Greetings.
But what actually is being said?
