Won’t be buying it without a Blu-ray hard copy!

  2. skipbifferty says:

Does anyone have an idea what the cost would be for the 5cd Super Deluxe version?

  3. Filipe says:

Final sentence of the ad: got to get you into my life. Clever.

  4. Louis Bova says:

Just tell me Giles Martin’s hands aren’t on this …please !

    • Stephen says:

He’s literally remixed every new Beatle product of the last 15 years or so. How would he not be involved?

      • Louis Bova says:

One can dream … I agree that Steven Wilson would be a much better choice for remixing …. So here comes another Beatles deluxe edition mastered and mixed for the “Beats Headphone” generation … jeez ..I’ll pass.

  5. Reed says:

Thanks to Apple and Universal Music for the bonehead decision to not include a Blu-ray with a surround sound mix in this package. No way I’m spending over $100 for 4 discs of music that I can find for free on-line. No Blu-ray, no sale.

  6. Mike says:

All I care about is the “Love You To” outtakes, lol. At last! (my interest is piqued to hear John singing “Submarine” though, must admit)

  7. Blakey says:

    No Blu-Ray? Scandalous.
And who the hell is Questlove?

Why can’t Apple get Steven Wilson to do a deluxe remix set?

    • Rick says:

That’s a good question about Questlove. I was wondering the same thing.

      You’re welcome!

That advert is priceless, hilarious A ‘bonus’ 4 track EP….
    Like they’re giving it away….

  9. They should have included the BD with the Paperback Writer / Rain video versions and the 5.1 mix.Without that most of us will go for the vinyl box and download the tracks elsewhere. There is no market for a 5CD box when you get the book with vinyl too. Not clever.

  10. Blakey says:

Why not notes by an actual Beatles historian, like Mark Lewisohn or Keith Badman? Or even Mark Ellen? Are Apple trying to be ‘relevant’ and trendy, when they don’t need to be?

    I have seen this, and it comes with a free B2-sized poster. It’s a 5CD version, $136.20

I need another primer on Dolby Atmos. Is there any form of stand alone decoder? Or do I need all new equipment to get surround sound?

  13. José Luis Carrillo says:

Revolver was my first lp when i was 13. That was in the year 1983. 39 years later it’s still my favourite album and since the advent of surround sound albums mixes I have dreamed about all that sounds in Revolver coming from different speakers. I see no point in a deluxe edition without a blu ray with the Surround mix. What will happen with the people that has the others albums in blu ray? After all this years waiting for this releases, the collection will be incomplete. It’s disrespectful with the fans, imho.

  14. Glenn says:

    According to this:

the hi-res and Dolby Atmos will be available as digital downloads. I can deal with that.
