In a great article aptly titled «And in the end», Rob Sheffield gives an account of how The Beatles effectively disbanded, despite everyone really planning to continue, except Paul. Or did they just pretend, to make him the villain?
The article also quotes Peter Jackson, who thought looking through the outtakes from the Let It Be film was going to be the sad break up story, and how it wasn’t. Available for online reading here.
