A sensational new discovery is due out on the TMOQ/HMC bootleg label with a soundboard recording of the June 25 1966 concert in the Gruga-Halle in Essen on the Bravo Beatles Blitz Tournée. An unmixed version is on disc 1, with a remix on disc 2. And what’s more, a copy of the tape was leaked on YouTube.

Interesting but how was it recorded? A ‘remix’ version implies a multitrack of some sort 😉

Great, after Stowe, Bournemouth and The Emi House recording another unreleased concert that leaked out of hoarders’ clutches… there still is Hong Kong 64, Rome and Lyon 65 and a video of Boston 66 in color…did I miss anyhing???
I’ve also heard that there is a soundboard for Toronto 1965

Pity we don’t get the afternoon show as the audience recording in awful quality, sounds like they put on a better performance.
Sounds like only the vocal mics wen through the board directly. Instruments seem to be ambient. Still a fairly decent recording.

How can I copy the recording?
I plugged a recorder into my audio out on my PC. Old school.

There is a download button on the You Tube page. They seem to want you to subscribe, so I’ve never used it…
I am grateful for this. Because we probably won’t get anything from Apple this year that isn’t a re ( re re) release.
