Thomas and friends – lost pilot retrieved

Watch Thomas the tank engine in his very first adventure, as he cheekily tries to pass a danger sign. To celebrate the 80th anniversary of Thomas & Friends™, this unique pilot episode, filmed in 1983, has been restored and is now available for everyone to enjoy for the very first time. Ringo Starr was the first narrator of this British series, and in the U.S. adaption “Shining time station“, he also portrayed the tiny “Mr Conductor”.

Nice to see the pilot episode. Shining Time station. Though they said was inferior to uk episodes would have been nice to see as Ringo is in it.
As Ringo does not seem interested in going down the deluxe treatment for his albums. Ringo 1973 album being the obvious choice for many people.
As he has issued many live albums in the past.
It would be nice to have the recent complete concert to promote Look Up. On all formats. Cd/dvd/bluray/ vinyl.
The bootleggers are selling this for astronomical amounts on 2cd/ dvd/ bluray.
Does anyone think an official release will happen?

There should definitely be a “Ringo” deluxe edition. Maybe even combine it with “Goodnight Vienna”

Rather like Paul with the forthcoming Wings Super-Deluxe Box Sets, one suspects that the Ringo concerts will come out to ride the crest of whatever Beatles release comes to us for Christmas (Paul being not averse to “use it to sell a record” since 1970). It seems inconceivable that, given the expense of the filming and staging, they will not see daylight on the official market.

On a sidebar to the ‘Ringo’ box set, in theory, there is an obvious candidate for one more Beatles song, were Paul to add bass to ‘I’m The Greatest’. I wouldn’t want it to happen myself, given the song is most certainly not the greatest.

I’m personally not a fan of boxsets selling outtakes and remixes. I’ve more respect for artist who don’t release these style of sets so Ringo please don’t sell out and do it! Album of bsides and songs that are finished but never released is fine but no multiple outtakes. Boring beyond belief!

    “…lost pilot retrieved.”

And here I thought Ringo found Amelia Earhart.
