    Hi,
"Dawn of the Silver Beatles" was my first beatleg bought in a flea market 5 french francs (less than one euro).
I remember me asking their full catalog to the record company.
My letter went back with mention "Unknown address"

Congratulations for all you have done.

Sorry my english is very limited.

The PAC record 'dawn of the silver beatles' was done with the involvement of Pete Best. a 'friend' of mine was an investor in PAC, and met him a couple of times, and was able to get 10 copies signed by him (i now have two of them). This investor was told the songs were out of copyright and could be released legit. but this was not the case and when the label was taken to court he lost a lot of money.

The same applies to the Backstage triple LP 'Like Dreamers Do'. Same tracks on a pic disc and on white marble vinyl, with 1 record of interviews. Again signed by Pete.

I have a bootleg signed by Pete as well, but it's not a Beatles bootleg – it's a Pete Best bootleg! 😀
It appears they released an LP in Italy which contained outtakes from the Pete Best Combo…

I have two copies of Dawn of the Silver Beatles that I bought in the early 80's. I ordered them from the company that produced the record in Tempe, AZ USA. They were a limited production run, excellent quality vinyl, and had serial numbers and a certificate of authenticity with the matching serial number.

Hi.. On back you will see the re-mix engineering was done by EHB…that is me. From the wire recording I mastered it on a the first IBM digital recorders to clean it up…The good old days… EHB

Even the "enhanced" versions of this set was clean, but to listen to the background on most of the cuts, it almost sounds 'oopsied', stereo down to mono. They have always sounded like there should be at least a center channel. I have never known of a 2-3 cannel stereo master. Only the "fake" version mentioned earlier. Just about anyone could Duophonically reprocess it and add echo to one side.

After releasing the 7 Deccagone singles, Joe Pope announced that he had been ripped off. He rush released an LP with all 15 tracks in a plain white cover.
