Closing off Abbey Road a no no

A Beatles news item that is currently being reported in many mainstream media outlets (including the Daily Mail and The Mirror), is that director Sam Mendes has been refused permission by the Westminster Council to close off a part of Abbey Road to film the four actors in the upcoming Beatles films crossing the road.

We fully understand the refusal, this is a busy thoroughfare. The Beatles Rockband managed without closing the street when they made a commercial for the game in 2009.
