No summer tour for Ringo
In a recent Zoom interview to promote the upcoming EP – appropriately titled “Zoom In” – Ringo reveals that the postponed summer tour of 2020 which was moved to approximately the same dates in 2021, is not happening. Ringo also talks about the break-up of the Beatles, and what part Yoko played in that.
Ringo gets things wrong – because he is no Beatles expert – repeating that George’s departure from the group during the Get Back sessions was because of an arguement with Paul. Of course, this is what a lot of people believed for decades, because of the exchange between Paul and George in the finished “Let It Be” movie. It was only after listening to the many hours of outtakes from the sessions that it was discovered that the real reason which prompted George to walk out was because John Lennon didn’t want to rehearse “I Me Mine”, since he didn’t think it was a good enough song – and because George resented that Yoko was speaking on behalf of John most of the time..
Ringo also talks about the upcoming Peter Jackson documentary and the footage he has seen so far. The interview is with Mexican Martha Debayle for a Mexican audience, so it is subtitled in Spanish.

Nothing new there. Anyone with a copy of 'Sweet Apple Trax' clearly hears John saying "Oh, don't start that one again" [Inaudible] "I Me Mine".
Just before they do ‘House of the Rising Sun’. https://youtu.be/uxcu0pQjWTQ
He looks better with some grey in his hair
And What’s My name was supposed to be his last records ?!
As the dialogue between George and John proves:
‘I’m leaving the group.’
‘When?’
‘Now.’
