Ringo’s new album

Ringo at his press conference

It’s going to be yet another country album, Ringo said in his press conference in Las Vegas for the upcoming mini tour with his All Starr Band.

“I’ve just finished my part in another country album. I love country music, so it was, you know, there’s no, like … problem with it, I just get on with it.”

He said producer T-Bone Burnett “wrote a lot of songs, and this one has a few I’ve written, with Bruce Sugar, two songs on the next one, and we do a cover of a Carl Perkins song, because T-Bone sort of likes the idea that my first recordings with The Beatles were Carl Perkins songs. I love Carl Perkins.

And, you know, it’s just, I don’t know, I enjoy it. But, you know, all those pop-rock records I made, I enjoyed making them. Just playing with other musicians, and writing with, you know, I used to write with a lot of different people. And you know, it’s just what I do. So anyway, next year, I believe, we’re coming out with another country album.”

Ringo also was asked about the new expanded version of “The Beatles Anthology” coming to Disney+ in November and whether he has seen Episode 9, the new portion. “I think the new version is great,” he said, “and I haven’t seen Episode 9, so I can’t tell you anything about it, so it’s gonna be a surprise to me, too.”

Ringo & his All Starr Band are heading back on the road this week and Nothing Is Real were at the online press conference this evening where we got more information about Ringo’s next country collab with T Bone Burnett. Out 2026!

Nice to see another album from Ringo, As country music he is very comfortable with. Would be nice to see this year’s Ryman Nashville concerts released on cd/dvd/ blu-ray/ vinyl, But I,m not holding my breath. Wonder what Dave Stewart thinks when he tried to persuade Ringo into making a country album. Now he’s doing consecutive albums.
Would be great if he included Dave in next album.
To finish a Ringo 1973 deluxe as has been mentioned before is what most people would like. But again Ringo is not interested in deluxe treatment. As forthcoming Beatles anthology has been discussed with ommission, I’ve never agreed to the argument that Good Night by John was left out as it’s not his type of vocal. As John has sang plenty of ballads in his career. So a demo/ outtake of this probably will not see light of day.

Hopefully someone will do a decent BlueRay Bootleg of the Extended ‘Anthology’, as Disney will probably wont do an official release, like they haven’t done with ‘Let It Be’.

Glad to hear Ringo is about to launch new music. I’m kind of getting tired of so many reissues and so much scraping the barrel.

I haven’t heard anything about this Anthology chapter 9 new thing yet; if it’s just another paywalled Disney property, that’s very sad for traditional Beatles fans, who didn’t used to be segregated into Have/Have Not categories.
