Thank you Roger. One minor correction, the print edition actually has 286 pages, it's the kindle edition that has 248 pages (both have the same amount of words, I guess the font size is just different).

I should perhaps add that I've ONLY chronicled full length, professionally filmed performances and videos – no news reports, interviews, audience footage or documentaries (unless they feature full length, exclusive, performances). So, it will inevitably be shorter than books that include any/all of those.

I suspected my copy of Piper/Path's Film and TV Chronicle, 1961-1970 might be rare, but the prices on Amazon are ridiculous. I'd sell my copy for that!

Peter, I corrected the number of pages and included your comment about the contents in the blog post. Thank you for your insight and best of luck with the book! 😉

    Peter,
Do you where I can find these segments:
    1) Ringo on the phone with Murray The K requesting airplay of Bob Dylan's
Corrina Corrina from the Plaza Hotel 2/ '64
    2) Paul with Murray The K talking about "Robert Dylan fantastic indeed"
also possibly from the Plaza hotel 2/ '64
    3) George possibly with Murray The K requesting airplay of James Ray "Got My Mind
    Set On You" 2/ '64
Some say it's from What's Happening1 The Beatles In The USA ?
If so, are there different versions(length) of What's Happening The Beatles In The USA
There NOT on the DVD The Beatles: First US Visit
Please reply back & thank you!

Sorry Beatlesdylan, as explained already my book doesn't include interviews. There may well be different edits of that great 1964 documentary, but it is not something I've investigated.

  6. wogew says:

Beatlesdylan: There were two different First US Visit releases, the first one from ca 1998 did not include an hour of extra material, which was included on the second one. The first one looked like this and the second one like this. And yes, there were differences between the original 1964 "What's happening" and The First US Visit films.
