TV SERIES
The “Anthology” documentary series has been restored and remastered by Peter Jackson’s Park Road Post team. The series traces the band’s legendary journey, beginning in Liverpool and captivating the world.
The series includes a completely new episode, featuring unseen footage of Paul, George and Ringo working together on Anthology in 1995-96.
Coming November 26th.
Official public announcement expected later today.
No What You’re Doing take 11 ?? Crazy omission if true.
Rather underwhelming…
With these constant repackages of the same old same old, is anyone else feeling raped by the uber-greedy Universal? Where’s the rooftop concert?
Are any changes to vols 1-3 anticipated ?
It will be very disappointing if there are no additional tracks included from all the recordings unearthed since 1995
PJ’s team have the original Star Club tapes now. Surely they can use MAL to extract 2 or 3 useable songs ?
No “Carnival of Light”?
And when finaly Rubber Soul ..as a Super de Luxe set…
As a lot of re-and de- mix songs already available on the double Red..I suppose therefore that a lot of research – remaster ….mixing work done ..even anticipating towards earlier works…For Sale, With and Please please me
Why waiting ?
We need a total Live Anthology 1960-1966 with all those great tracks sitting on the floor

– What goes on, early demo
– Etcetera
– Helter Skelter, extended version
– Something, the version with jam at the end
– The End, extended version with guitar outtakes
– Some songs from Washington 64
– Some songs from Australia 64
– Some songs from Shea 65 or 66

– Some BBC tracks rejected from past releases (The night before, Im happy just to dance with you, I should hace know better, etc)
and please, no more takes of Strawberry fields, I am the Walrus, A day in the life or the same from always
There’s an unnatural feeling building inside my gut. Previously, I have bought the full kit and caBeatle, when it comes to deluxe/super deluxe versions of the albums. This seems a more naked grappling for power of your wallet. Only 13 unreleased tracks? I’m actually thinking about waiting until full details of the project is known. A bluray Anthology would be good. It seems to me that the further away we get from the Beatles’ time together, the greater the diminishing of the value-for-money ethos.
13 unreleased tracks not much
The new Free As A Bird 2025 mix has just been played on BBC radio 2 on Trevor Nelson’s show
To announce Anthology 4 and then have more than half the tracks taken from previous boxsets is a major rip off.
I’m only interested in the fourth volume. Hopefully they will release it separately otherwise I will just stream them.
It’s the real track list – https://www.thebeatles.com/beatles-anthology-12lp-official-store-exclusive
I’m pretty disappointed in it, but also happy that I have all my bootlegs from collecting all these years. There’s so much more they could have done, but just like the super deluxes – play it safe, give fans a super small amount of new stuff, and make some head-scratching decisions.
Only 13 new unreleased? What Goes On?
It seems Disney are monopolising all the re-released Beatles films, i.e, ‘Get Back’….’Let it Be’ and now the TV series ‘The Anthology’ . Most Beatle fans want the restored versions on Blu-Ray or DVD , I don’t want to subscribe to a channel that mostly show S***e This will only encourage people to by Bootleg versions ( especially me !! ) Disney have no intention of putting the restorered versions of ‘Let It Be ‘ or ‘Anthology’ series on Disc since gaining the license, they just want us to subscribe to their s***e channel, stuff that for a lark !! .
It’s the bloody Beatles!! I’m excited. It’s 2025 and we are still getting first rate sets from the greatest band ever. Happy 30th Anniversary Anthology. I’ve preordered the CD set from the USA.
You’re right. It’s not just the Beatles, it’s the bloody Beatles. After butchering many tracks on the 1967–1970 collection (2023), and then releasing the utterly superfluous Beatles ’64, we now get this half-haphazard collection, lacking in idea, cohesion, and vision. My G*d, what’s going on at Apple? C’mon Paul, now is the time to re-release London Town/Back to the Egg. You can finally beat the Beatles and John Lennon — both.
Absolutely scandalous. An insult to hardcore fans and a blatant cash in. Instead of a Rubber Soul or Magical Mystery Tour reissue, we get this guff. Many of the tracks already released and as for the extra episode? I am not optimistic. Might have known Disney would have their noses in the trough again. The Beatles (and Apple) are now the Manchester United of music. A once great institution with hugely loyal fans and a glorious past. Now, just a corporate brand, a money making machine. To hell with the fans an even maintaining a good name. Now merely for flogging ‘merch’ and filling the already bulging coffers with loot. No matter how substandard the end product is.
And, what is this permanently in bed with Disney thing about? Didn’t their time with Allen Klein teach them anything? It took till 1989 to get (almost) everything back in their hands. The original Anthology was released by Apple alone. Now it appears the people at Apple can’t scratch their bums without asking Disney’s permission.
I sadly envision the “new episode” to be the extra stuff from the Threetles “session” that is on the existing DVD set.
