I saw him live oh, about 12-14 years ago, with Jack Bruce, Rundgren, Gary Brooker, in an intimate, 2000 seater in downtown San Diego, He was a very good drummer, he's a lot better than he gets credit for. He was only around 60 then, a fit 60. At 73 I don't know if he can do a whole show with vigor, but if you haven't seen him, do it while you can, I was lucky to see him with Brooker, Rundgren and Jack Bruce, I mean wow, I don't know if the current line up, can match that hall of fame quality, if you haven't seen him, go!

He only toured Europe three times since getting out on the road again in 1989, and that was 1992, 1998 and 2011. Saw him on all three tours, 1992 in Gothenburg, Sweden, 1998 in Skanderborg, Denmark and finally he came to Oslo, Norway in 2011. All great concerts.

No Germany Ringo stay where the pepper grows

  5. Random Thoughts and Musings says:

Tickets are quite pricey for what looks like the same lineup from the 2012 tour. Would be nice if Ringo did a solo tour with the Roundheads. Would love to hear some other songs than the standards.

Not enthused by the backing band for this one. Too much like an assemblage of studio pros.
