Intimate gig for Paul before Glastonbury

Small town gig for Paul McCartney

Yesterday, Paul McCartney’s company announced that the star will be having an intimate pub concert in the quaint village of Frome, in the local “Cheese and Grain” today, Friday June 24. The locale holds about 835 people, and with a ticket price of just £25 the tickets sold out fast. One had to show up in person to stand in line to get tickets, and only two tickets per person. The police had to be called to keep the peace in the queue.

Saturday, Paul will be headlining a concert at the Glastonbury Festival for an audience of 200 000, plus millions of BBC TV viewers and he has been asking fans to send him suggestions for a set list at that gig. Perhaps the small town gig will be a rehearsal for the set list he has chosen? We’ll soon find out!

A great way to see the man for sure…but he has to stop asking for song suggestions…as if the set list will be any different..

  2. Tony Littman says:

If he is happy to do Mr Kite, Strawberry Fields, All You Need Is Love and A Day In The Life, then I see no reason why he should not perform She Loves You and I Want To Hold Your Hand, which would go down much better with audiences.

I was thinking more along the lines of Uncle Albert…Maybe even something from London Town..but this would all be in fantasy land anyway unfortunately

    • Win Corr says:

Sure, perhaps Come Together and Taxman
