Last Shea Concert

Billy Joel played Shea Stadium yesterday and the day before, and that marks the end of Shea’s era as a concert venue. As a tribute to The Beatles, who were the group that started that era, Joel played A Hard Day’s Night, She Loves You and Please Please Me.
The Mets will still be playing at Shea till the end of the season, September 28th. After that, the stadium will be removed, brick by brick.
